Sidehung Window
VELFAC 200 DGU Sidehung window
Features
- Available as single or French
- Casement double leaf.
- The sash stops at 90°.
- Concealed hinges.
- Available as 24mm double glazing.
- Requires a minimum of 10mm tolerance on hinge side.
Standard fittings
- The espagnolette has a built-in ventilation position (5mm).
- An adjustable friction brake can hold the window open in a ventilation position under quiet weather conditions.
- The friction brake is made of steel with a grey, corrosion-proof zinc-aluminium surface finish.
- Two- Three concealed, corrosion-proof hinges.Adjustable friction brakes are not designed for use in windy conditions. In such conditions the window should be closed or otherwise secured.
Fitting Options
Espagnolette, standard
The espagnolette handle is standard in our opening functions – other handles are available at an extra cost.
Matt-chrome surface finish.
Ventilation position
The striking plate is provided with two punchings.
The inner punching is used to close the window completely.
The outer punching allows you to set the window / casement door in the ventilation position (5mm).
Friction arm
Standard in sidehung and sideguided window and casement doors.
Not possible with 180° hinge.
Grey, corrosion-proff zinc-aluminium surface finish.
Flushbolt for French casement
Flushbolt for operation of the French casement in 2-leaf elements.
Other Accessories
Espagnolette with child-lock
Supplied with child-lock button.
New thermal material which is warm to the touch.
Brush/satin surface finish.

WindowMaster motor for Natural Ventilation
The WindowMaster motor can be computer controlled and used in natural ventilated projects or where windows are inaccessible.

Features
The WindowMaster motor is integrated in the frame and invisible when the window is closed.
Opening functions available:

Chain lengths available: 11cm, 26cm, 50cm.
Control units:
There is a wide range of automatic and manual control units. These are not supplied by VELFAC, and we recommend, therefore, that your electrician contacts WindowMaster for advice on the optimal solution for your needs.
Circular catch handle
Circular catch handles are used for one of two purposes:
1. In very small or narrow windows where an espagnolette handle is not possible.
2. In combination with espagnolette handles, the circular catch handle ensures wind and water tightness for tall topguided and reversible windows.
Lockable restrictor (160mm or 270mm)
Has to be opened with a triangle ‘Allan’ key, supplied with the window / casement door.
The use of restrictors on fire egress windows must be approved by the local fire authority.

VELFAC maxi-handle
Warm, non-slip surface makes life easier for those with an infirm grip.
Supplied separately.
Suitable for all types of VELFAC 200 espagnolettes.

- Colour: RAL 7040 (grey)
- Finish: Slightly rough to make it feel nice and to ensure non-slip quality
- Cleaning: Dishwasher-safe
Click vent
Natural anodized surface finish.
Not visible from outside.
Click vents will always be positioned in the jamb where possible.
Free opening of 4000mm² in VELFAC 200 DGU windows.

Acoustic trickle vent
Efficient glazing is fundamental to noise control, and fresh air is essential to our wellbeing.
The new acoustic vent is designed to provide both fresh air and noise control in buildings when combined with VELFAC SOUND windows.
Features
The vent achieves a sound reduction value of Dn,e,w (C; Ctr) = 40 (-1; -2) dB.
The acoustic vent is machined into a timber packer, which will be installed and sealed on site.
The external aluminium profile is polyester-powder coated in the same colour as the window sashes, allowing an elegant integration with windows and facade.
The acoustic vent, which is visible from inside, comes in RAL 9010.
Restrictor with ventilation position
Limits opening of the window to 5-10cm.
The restrictor can be locked in the ventilation position. Push the red locking plate until a click is heard.
In side-hinged and side-guided opening functions the restrictor is installed at the jamb.
In tophung fully reversible function, it is installed at the cill.
Not available for sliding casement doors and 2-leaf casement doors.
